The Austin ISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting beginning at 10 a.m. May 17 in the Carruth Administration Center, Board Auditorium, Room B100. The board has invited two executive search/recruitment services firms to make a presentation and answer questions related to the search for a new superintendent.

Proposals were received by the board from four executive search firms on May 7.

After scoring the proposals and discussion during the Board Work Session on May 12, the board decided to ask the two highest-ranked firms to meet during the special meeting.

• ECRA Group–Hazard, Young, Attea, & Associates will make a presentation at 10:10 a.m.
• Ray and Associates will make a presentation at 11:25 a.m.
