On May 2, Vincent Torres, president of the AISD Board of Trustees, provided the following quick update to the AISD Community.

Dear AISD Community:

As you know, the school board recently approved the release of a request for proposals from search firms interested in assisting the district with the search for a new superintendent. The board has received questions from several search firms, and has also received your feedback on the type of firm we should work with.

The deadline for companies to submit a proposal to the board is 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7. After that, the board will release the names of the firms or individuals who have submitted proposals.

We will keep you informed of our progress and involved in the selection of a new permanent leader for the district. You can continue to visit the superintendent search website to share your thoughts on the process and to read the most up-to-date information about the process.
