The Austin Independent School District will return to normal operations today, Friday, Jan. 24, after 5 p.m., including athletic events and other activities scheduled for this evening and throughout the weekend. Varisy AISD games are still scheduled for tonight, but sub-varsity games have been canceled.  

Participants in district-sponsored events should confirm with their organization leads, coaches and other sponsors for official information and details on specific events. Participants in outdoor events are encouraged to dress appropriately for the lower temperatures expected this evening and throughout the weekend.

The AISD transportation department will resume its normal operations after 5 p.m. today. School buses will support those activities and events that may continue as planned.
