AISD is hosting two meetings this month to provide families with more information about the district's dual language programs. During the presentations, families will learn about AISD's efforts to extend the program to the middle school level. Additionally, experts in the field of dual language education, doctors Virginia Collier and Wayne Thomas, will share information from their award-winning national research that explains how schools can be most effectively engage linguistically and culturally diverse students.
The first presentation will take place Monday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. the cafeteria at Metz Elementary School, 84 Robert Martinez Drive. The second meeting takes place the following Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. in cafeteria of Fulmore Middle School, 201 East Mary.
