Overview

The mission of Barbara Jordan Elementary is to educate every child, every day as we close the achievement gap. Barbara Jordan Elementary helps students achieve their full potential with a rich educational experience inspired by the leadership qualities of its namesake. The school is named after Barbara Jordan, the first woman elected to the US Congress from Texas. Each year in February, the school community along with the LBJ School of Public Affairs, the Barbara Jordan Foundation, and the University of Texas at Austin holds a program to commemorate the many accomplishments and achievements of Barbara Jordan. Barbara Jordan Elementary is part of the LBJ Early College High School family of schools, which offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and graduate with an associate degree.

La misión de la Primaria Barbara Jordan es educar a todos los niños, todos los días, mientras cerramos la brecha de rendimiento.
