The Austin ISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz and community members will visit Menchaca Elementary School to officially announce the $1.05 billion bond election.

The bond election, if approved, would bring 21st century learning spaces to the district with no tax rate increase. The bond would also modernize or build 16 schools, including Menchaca. Additionally, all AISD schools would receive a portion of the bond funds if passed.

What: An opportunity for media to learn more about the 2017 bond package and visit a campus slated to be rebuilt as part of the bond.

When: 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27

Where: Menchaca Elementary School, 12120 Manchaca Road. Access to the campus parking lot is located on FM 1626.
