With promising futures ahead of them, more than 200 Travis Early College High School graduates received their diplomas Friday at the Erwin Center.
"Many of you may be scared about life after high school," salutatorian Eduardo Bahena-Rodriguez told his fellow graduates. "Pushing away physically and mentally from what we know is how we grow."
The Rebels had a landmark year: 106 seniors completed AP and/or dual credit classes—that's more than half of the class of 2016.
Travis also earned six academic Distinctions from the Texas Education Agency, putting the Rebels in the top 8 percent of all high schools in the state.
Travis High School Principal Ty Davidson said he knows these seniors have big things ahead.
"Thank you for the memories you've created the last four years," Davidson said. "You've continued to put Travis Early College High School on the map and prove that 'Once a Rebel, always a Rebel.'"
Congratulations to the Travis Early College High School class of 2016!
