AISD welcomes children's author and illustrator Yuyi Morales to Mathews Elementary for a special reading of her newest book, Niño Wrestles the World.

Born and raised in Mexico, Morales has been a radio producer and children's book creator since coming to the United States. Her books have won numerous awards and honors, and Morales is the first author/illustrator to be three times recognized by the Pura Belpre Committee.

This free event will take place at Mathews Elementary School, 906 West Lynn, at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. RSVP to linda.medina@austinisd.org.
