The Austin Independent School District’s Parent Support Office will be offering free one-night workshops focused on “Parenting with Love and Logic" to provide parents with simple and practical techniques to effectively handle challenging child behaviors. The workshops will begin Nov.15 and will be held every Tuesday until Dec. 13. The workshops will be held in English at Becker and Allan elementary, there will also be workshops in Spanish and English at Lanier High School.

At the workshops, parents will also learn how to build a loving and trusting relationship with their children and how to help reduce stress for both themselves and their child as well as prepare them for the real world. The workshops are for parents with children of any age. 

These mini-workshops offer a brief look into the full seven week “Love and Logic” program. Depending on parent interest, the full course may be offered during the spring semester.
