AISD REACH PAYOUT UPDATE - October Retention
Principals and teachers at 13 high-needs pilot schools that are participating in AISD REACH, Austin's Strategic Compensation Initiative, during the 2009-2010 school year will be receiving recruitment and retention stipends on October 30, 2009. The AISD REACH pilot schools with educators receiving these payments include:
Payment amounts: The payment amounts are $500 for eligible staff who were under contract as of September 30, 2009 and have less than three prior years of experience at their present campus and $1,500 for eligible staff who were under contract as of September 30, 2009 and have three full years or more prior experience at their present campus. This payout is only half of what eligible staff at each participating school will receive assuming they complete the entire school year. Please note: Stipend amounts vary slightly for the following pilot schools Akins, Pleasant Hill, and Sunset Valley. Eligible staff who were under contract at their present campus as of September 30, 2009 AND who are beginning their 3rd or more year at this campus (meaning 2 or more full years of prior experience) will receive a payment of $750. Please note: AISD REACH stipends are paid on the same day as regular payroll (usually the last day of the month) and are paid in the same manner that employees receive their AISD paycheck. Those who have direct deposit will be mailed a statement with a list of the stipends they will receive, and those who donít have direct deposit will have a separate check mailed to their homes that also includes a list of their stipends.
