On Friday, December 18th, 180 educators at three AISD campuses participating in the AISD REACH Program will receive stipends totaling $670,000 for achieving "Quartile One" growth on TAKS during the 2008-2009 school year. This TEA-defined measure assesses growth on TAKS from one year to the next for the same students at each school throughout the state, then compares this growth to 40 demographically similar campuses.

Payment amounts:
As part of the AISD REACH program, teachers are eligible to earn up to $4,000 ($2,000 for Reading and $2,000 for Math) and principals are eligible to earn up to $8,000 for this distinction. Staff who were present at these campuses but did not return for the 2009-2010 school year are only eligible for one-half of these stipends.
